Pervade Software were part of a Trade Delegation to Japan which involved a number of cyber security companies who were invited to present to a range of industry representatives from all over Japan at an event held in the British Embassy in Tokyo. The Delegation was hosted by the Japan Cluster of Security Professionals and their Founder & CEO, Sam Matsumoto, commented "It is a pleasure to host specialist UK cyber companies such as these businesses from Wales and we would like to encourage cooperation and collaboration in the fight against the growing global threat of cyber attacks". John Davies, Managing Director of Pervade was a guest speaker at the event in the British Embassy and presented the latest findings from the company's work on indexing the Dark Web. "Dark Nets can serve a vital purpose to those who legitimately need anonymisation" said John, "but unfortunately they are also used as a haven for malicious and criminal activity which knows no geographic boundaries and we need to work together to better understand and combat the threat". In addition to the event, the trip involved a series of meetings with major companies on Japan including Telecoms, Energy and Security Service Providers which provided the opportunity to explore collaboration in more detail. John was also lucky enough to have been among delegates who were interviewed for Japanese Television when they arrived at Tokyo Airport.
